Garage Sale 8am-12pm
Food Trucks 11am – 2pm
Block Party & Band 12pm – 2pm @ 2100 Block of Cherokee Street
Clean out your attic, go through your clothes and set up shop in your front yard! The Garden District Civic Association is hosting its annual neighborhood garage sale Saturday, March 25, from 8AM to 12 PM. We will have a map of all homes participating in the sale.
We will also need volunteers for the day of the event to setup tables, tents, sell drink tickets, pour beers and clean-up.
Tunes & Food on Cherokee Street
Once you’re done selling your treasures and browsing the sales, head on over to the 2100 block of Cherokee Street for food, art for sale and live music under our gorgeous oak trees. Food trucks, Coca-Cola and Abita Beer will serve from 11AM to 2PM. New Orleans-own, Where Y’acht, will be setting sail from 12pm to 2pm playing the smoothest tunes from the 70s and 80s. Don’t forget your lawn chairs!
The Garden District Civic Association is working tirelessly to provide you with amazing events like the Garage & Groove, Crawfish Boil, Easter Egg Hunt, Fall picnic and the Champagne Stroll. By becoming a GDCA member, your dues go towards security, such as police patrol by off-duty police officers and coordination with other neighborhood associations, government and neighborhood advocacy, and improvement initiatives.
Become a member today and receive TWO FREE DRINK TICKETS at the Garage & Groove. Visit the Membership Table the day of the event.
Become a sponsor and reach a broad audience of individuals and families living in the Garden District and the Midcity area. Funds raised for this event will go towards tending and protecting the Garden District’s beautiful live oak trees.
